Co-Owner, Outdoor 76, Rock House Lodge, and Brown Dog Tees
Cory McCall is co-owner of Outdoor 76, a full service outdoor store that is committed to excellence in sales, customer service and selection of outdoor lifestyle needs. He attended Western Carolina University and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Hospitality and Tourism in 2004. Upon completion of his degree from WCU, he received his real estate license and sold real estate full-time for five years. In 2010, he opened Outdoor 76 on Main Street in Franklin, NC, which services over 2,000 Appalachian Trail hikers every year along with adventures seekers and lifestyle enthusiasts who are drawn to the mountains of Western North Carolina and North Georgia. Outdoor 76 currently operates stores in Franklin & Cherokee, NC along with a store in Clayton, GA.
In addition to Outdoor 76, Cory is also co-owner of Rock House Lodge, a tap-room with craft beer, wine and champagne and Brown Dog Tees, a custom t-shirt and gift store highlighting both local and regional products.
Beyond work Cory serves on the Macon County Economic Development Committee and is a member of the Growing Outdoors Partnership Advisory Council. Most recently, he was recognized by Business North Carolina as a 2019 Trailblazer for rural economic investment.
