Thank you for your interest in participating in the Outdoor Economy Conference. Before you proceed to purchase tickets, we strongly recommend you go through the following terms and conditions:
In this document, words like ‘you’, ‘‘holder’, ‘bearer’, ‘attendee’ and ‘purchaser’ refer to the person who will buy or otherwise receive tickets to the Outdoor Economy Conference. ‘Our’, ‘us’, ‘we’, ‘issuers’, ‘providers’, ‘organizers’ and similar terms will indicate the organizers of the Outdoor Economy Conference – Mountain BizWorks and the MADE X MTNS Partnership.
By opting to purchase, allocate, or possess tickets (including vendor, speaker, sponsor, volunteer, or other tickets) to the Outdoor Economy Conference, you automatically agree to our terms of use. If you have problems with any of the clauses listed below or do not agree with the risk allocations mentioned here, please do not purchase tickets or try to enter the Outdoor Economy Conference premises.
Please note that the conference organizers reserve the right to make changes, revisions, and amendments, or add/remove sections from this set of terms and conditions – without any prior notifications to you. Such changes will be duly reflected on the Outdoor Economy Conference website at www.outdooreconomy.org/terms-and-conditions. These changes will relate back to the date of purchase of Outdoor Economy Conference tickets.
The ticket you purchase represents a revocable license for you to access the Cherokee Convention Center at Harrah’s Cherokee during dates for which you hold a ticket during the period October 21-24, 2024, when the Outdoor Economy Conference is scheduled to be hosted. The license includes the revocable right to attend the Outdoor Economy Conference. This license can be revoked at any time by the issuer at its sole discretion, without any prior notifications or compensation options. If the license is revoked, you will not be granted entry at the venue.

Data and Photography Policy
By purchasing Outdoor Economy Conference tickets and attending the event, you give your consent to Organizers collecting certain information about yourself (name, email, address, etc.) for verification, attendee communications, and storage. This information will not be provided to third parties, except where expressly permitted by attendee (e.g. by consenting to have attendee’s email address included in the event’s Attendee List.)
Furthermore, photos and video will be taken at the event and may be used for promotional and educational purposes; by participating in the event you give your consent to be recorded, and to have photographs/videos of you used for these purposes. If you do not consent to have photographs or videos used for these purposes, please notify our team at [email protected] so that we can discuss options with you.
Damage and Loss Liability Waiver
Organizers do not take any responsibility to personal/financial damages caused to you at the venue, or for any items lost/stolen/misplaced at the venue. Financial reimbursement claims on these counts will not be entertained.
You voluntarily agree to assume all of the foregoing risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury to myself (including, but not limited to, personal injury, disability, and death), illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense, of any kind, that I may experience or incur in connection with a Production (“Claims”). I hereby release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless Company, its principals, officers, managers, employees, agents, independent contractors, and representatives (collectively, the “Company Parties”), of and from the Claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating thereto.
You understand and agree that this release includes any Claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of Company, its principals, officers, managers, employees, agents, independent contractors, and representatives.
Further, you shall indemnify, hold harmless, and defend the Company Parties from any Claims, including, without limitation, arising from death or injury to you, other attendees or participants at a Production, or Company’s principals, employees, and independent contractors, caused by your negligence or intentional acts or inactions during the course of a Production.
Please note that you purchase Outdoor Economy Conference tickets of your own free will. As such, you do not have the right to initiate a chargeback claim or dispute on the provider of the credit card/debit card that had been used for the transaction. Refund/return/cancellation requests will be subject to the Refund and Ticket Transfer policies laid out in this document.
Dispute Resolution
In all cases of disputes between the ticket-bearer and the ticket-issuer/Organizers, the decision of the latter will be deemed final. In case a dispute cannot be resolved, the help of an independent third-party arbiter will be sought.
Organizers follow a common ‘zero-tolerance policy’ towards unauthorized drug usage or carrying at the venue, AND towards any type of behavior/actions that can be interpreted as lewd, violent, harassing, or obscene. If you are found in possession of prohibited items at Outdoor Economy Conference and/or if you indulge in any objectionable action, your participation in the event will be terminated immediately. Your event ticket(s) will become void from that point on, and no refunds will be issued.
Organizers have the right to investigate if there has been any violation of the Outdoor Economy Conference ticketing terms and conditions. In case of any conflicts, the decision of Mountain BizWorks will be deemed final (i.e., the issuer will remain the final arbiter in cases of disputes).
Cancellation Policy
The Outdoor Economy Conference is a ‘rain or shine’ event.
If you are not able to access any particular section(s) of the venue – the Cherokee Convention Center – or off-site activities that take place as part of the Conference due to delays, federal regulations, organizer policies, weather-related problems, emergencies, venue shutdown/evacuation or any other reason, you will not be eligible for any refunds or future credits.
If the Outdoor Economy Conference is cancelled or postponed in its entirety due to any unforeseen circumstances, Organizers have the sole and absolute right to:
- i) reschedule the event, or
- ii) issue a partial/full refund, or
- iii) not issue any refunds.
Please note that the decision of the issuer in such cases will be deemed final and binding.
If Outdoor Economy Conference is cancelled due to any factors or causes not in the control of the issuer, the latter will offer a partial or full refund, or postpone the event, or provide a comparable ‘make good’ option. These factors will be inclusive of, but not limited to, natural disasters, federal/state announcements, strikes, delays in production, pandemics, and the like. Once again, the decision of the Organizers will be considered final. In case the event is fully canceled, the refund, if issued, will include ONLY the face value/printed value of the ticket(s). The bearer cannot, under any circumstances, claim refunds on shipping fees, processing fees, handling fees, and such other charges.
Losses, if any, occurring due to foreign exchange fluctuations at the time of refunds, will be borne by the purchaser. Organizers shall not, in any way, be held liable for that.
We hope you will have a great time at Outdoor Economy Conference. You can get your tickets here: https://outdooreconomy.org/tickets/buy-tickets/ – and if you have any questions, feel free to email our team at [email protected].
